At Armoloy of Texas, quality control begins with our culture, which prides itself on delivering best-in-class customer service, metal coating processes, product delivery, and post-sales support.
Quality begins with our sales engineers understanding your product application requirements and advising you on coating options that meet your overall business objectives.
Through constant research and development, we continue to improve our existing coating technology, develop new coatings, and expand the range of functional Armoloy applications.
The Armoloy Corporate Laboratory
The Armoloy Corporate Laboratory provides analysis and testing of process solutions for licensees. This central facility serves to ensure that the Armoloy process baths used by all Armoloy licensees consistently remain within the stringent Armoloy-mandated standards. No matter which Armoloy licensee produces your Armoloy coating, you can always be sure that it is Armoloy.
The Armoloy Corporation has continually invested resources to provide the most knowledgeable and experienced metal-finishing scientists with the most up-to-date equipment with which to analyze and control the Armoloy process baths. Not only are all Armoloy baths analyzed according to strict schedules, but continuous research and study is performed to ensure that The Armoloy Corporation remains the industry leader through technical knowledge and experience.
The best available analytical instruments and lab equipment are used to analyze Armoloy bath samples, make-up water, wastewater, and related samples. Trace-metals in Armoloy bath samples and water samples are analyzed using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AA). Catalyst control is maintained using ion chromatography (IC) and ion-selective electrodes (ISE's). Where applicable, various "wet" techniques are used to complement the instrumental methods.
In addition, sample coupons are Armoloy-coated on a regular schedule and submitted to The Armoloy Corporate Laboratory for analysis of coating thickness, hardness, and surface texture. The coupons are examined under high magnification using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to ensure that acceptable coating characteristics are maintained. Hardness is monitored using a micro-hardness tester. Comparative corrosion resistance testing is done at The Armoloy Lab in a Singleton salt-spray cabinet as per ASTM B-117 and AMS-2438. To ensure accuracy and precision, secondary testing is routinely done by outside, independent laboratories.
The Armoloy Corporate Laboratory is designed, equipped and staffed to serve as the technical center of the Armoloy process. To further complement our high-tech chemical analysis and testing, the laboratory technicians serve as technical support for all Armoloy licensees. Years of experience have given us a unique perspective, and we're never more than a phone call away.
